Brad Delson UCLA Commencement Speech

June 16, 2009

Brad Delson is one of the world's most fascinating wonders.

I spoke at Art Center's graduation only a short time ago. When I was preparing for that speech, I did a lot of research, watching videos and reading speeches. If I had come across Brad's speech at that time, I would have stopped writing mine entirely. I would have just called Brad and begged him to write it for me!

    Mike,

    Now I see why you would have preffered to have had Brad help you with your speech. Although I would like to compliment your's too. Both you guys did great. Got your points across. That's one of the many things you guys do, is involvement in education. Which is an A+ already. Never change.

    And who said Linkin Park was strictly a nu-metal band? Psssh... If you ask me, Linkin Park is comprised of a bunch of articulate, intelligent, and down-to-earth guys who are also ALL musically talented artists as well! Way to go guys! :)

    Brad is just the most unpredictable speaker i've ever seen! i mean no one of the viewers will never guess what he'll do next and where he goes in his speach! WOW! taking off clothes and singing..is it allowed to do on graduation ceremony? xD not sure if all this was edifying but it was really a good show, so it's good that he's a musician and not a teacher xD still i liked it a lot! :)

    Brad's not real... I 'm starting to think I made all of you up in my head. This is skit straight out of the books of my imagination. But I probably would have rocked a Terminator mask with that jersey. Keeping a straight face, priceless.

    when I first read that brad is going to do this speech I said 'oooooooooooooookay, let's see how this will turn out' so now that I actually saw that speech I'm like 'holy shit!' with my jaw conected to the floor... really I'm more that stunned! this speech was really great! I wish we had something like this here in germany and brad would be speaking! That was awesome, dude! even though I would have been a nervous wreck sitting behind you cause it seemed like you couldn't stop moving around ^lol^ and know what the best part was? when you sang britney spears... I couldn't stop laughing... that was more than great!!! so congrats to that amazing commencement speech!!!

    I couldn't stop smilin through tha whole video ! Brads so awsome ! Im still smiling :P And his speech wuz far more better than yours Mike...sorry . I loved it when he startd singin Britney Spears, and then what i wuz never gunna expect, Brad rapin to Blame It . xP Brad's just amazing . I think i like him more than you Mike . :) it wuz cute how he had the whole UCLA basketball outfit goin on; it's like he wuz prepared lol . :)

    haha both of ur speeches were awesome but there is something about Brad...am just not sure what it is.(mabey its the afro,am not sure though) he is so cool! all of u guys are all so funny! i love you all!!!

    It's not surprising at all how impressive Brad's speech is because that's just how witty he is. Nor was it surprising that he bust out Britney or Jamie Foxx or stripped down to a UCLA jersey because that's how funny he is. What's surprising, is the fact that he was not the first choice and yet gave the BEST SPEECH EVER. I wish he could've spoken at my commencement!!! AMAZING job Braddles!! -DrummerLadyBourdon
