2008 was a busy year for our charity organization, MUSIC FOR RELIEF. On the following page, I've added a summary of the efforts MFR was involved in this past year. A million thanks for everyone's support.

We all hope that our friends and families will never be forced to face a natural disaster; but when these events occur, MFR hopes to play a central role in providing relief to the victims.

If any of your other favorite groups or artists are not involved with MFR, feel free to go to their websites and encourage them to join in. MFR is not Linkin Park's charity; we hope to be able to include as many artists as possible in the future. The greater the number of musicians and fans involved, the bigger difference we can make for the victims of natural disasters.

Thanks to DigiDesign, I got a chance to preview the new ProTools 8. I made a short new instrumental song on it. Here's a link to the video, which includes audio of the song.

Sparkart is working on making the videos embeddable. For now, please just put the link up if you want to pass this around.

These pics were actually from earlier in the year (right after we shot Road To Revolution, I think--we came home and worked for about a month in the studio). Our engineer Josh just sent these jpegs to me. Phoenix was trying some cello on a song, Chester and I were "helping."

Linkin Park slay live. That's instantly apparent from the first distorted din to blast through the P.A. on the band's brand new live CD/DVD, Road to Revolution: Live at Milton Keynes. In fact, Road to Revolution is one of those rare live packages that works on every level. It captures Linkin Park's onstage intensity, and it sounds slick to boot. Culling a sublime set list from all three of their studio albums, Linkin Park definitely chose the right show to record. There's no shortage of hits, and the songs take on a new vibrancy that's sure to please longtime fans and draw in some newbies as well. All in all, it's a road well worth traveling with them.
