  • linkin park in new orleans

    with your help, music for relief funded two brand new homes in new orleans. it was an amazing part of a program that habitat for humanity has to offer.

    to put it (very) simply, the general goal of habitat for humanity in that region is to provide new homes for people who qualify for their program (basically make / own less than a certain $ amount, and do 350 hours of community service work in their programs). of all the programs i've seen in that area, this is one of the strongest.

    the music for relief efforts funded two homes, which are under construction now. the band got to visit on wednesday and help build one of the homes. LP, coheed and cambria, and some of our friends grabbed hammers and nails and helped put together some of the floor and walls of a home.

  • new orleans / socalled video

    two things: one, the tour's going great, and we're almost to new orleans...as many of you know, we still have our eye on the slow progress in the rebuilding of the areas affected by hurricane katrina. we funded two homes for habitat for humanity via music for relief. it's very exciting. we'll be there on wednesday (after shows in lexington and nashville) to hang out with the home owners and help build on-site. thanks to all who have been donating and participating!
