Hey everyone. I'm happy to announce that we are putting together a new live CD/DVD for you guys! We recorded the show at Milton Keynes (Projekt Rev, UK), and we will be releasing it in a DVD/CD combo pack as soon as we can get it done.
However, we're having trouble naming the album...so we want you to name it!
Please help out by spreading the word. We want as many fans as possible to go to

i really enjoyed the talk with tim...hope you guys did as well. sorry the audio is taking so long to get. i don't know if it's going to happen; the blogworld people haven't seemed really keen on giving the audio out.
incidentally, tim's book "the four hour work week" was a great read. if you want to learn about ways to cut down your work hours, cut out the unimportant things in your life, still make great money, and use the time you save to pursue the dreams you wish you had more time for, i recommend his book.
PS: i'll give you a little tidbit about the book...the idea of the "new rich" has less to do with obtaining things and money, and more to do with bettering yourself, enjoying life, and doing things that will make a positive impact on the world, while minimizing all the less important nonsense we all get ourselves caught up in (particularly wasting time for the sake of filling work hours). i hope that doesn't sound preachy...it doesn't come off that way in the book!
just a reminder: our organization MUSIC FOR RELIEF is raising funds for hurricane relief in the gulf coast. MFR has partnered with DIRECT RELIEF INTERNATIONAL to assist health centers and evacuation shelters serving those affected.
RB (the red baron) and i just got back from an exhausting and fantastic trip to vegas for blogworld. although i went to sleep pretty early, RB was out all night overdoing it on the gambling, sex, and drugs...somehow i was able to get him up early enough to make it to the conference at 7:45am. it was a little early, but we got our wits together, and tim and i had a great talk with the folks there. there were a ton of fascinating questions, and i personally got a lot out of it. afterward i got a good chance to speak to some of you in person, take some pictures, and sign some autographs.
speaking of which: if you, the reader, are someone i met at the conference, and you have photos or video of us, feel free to leave a comment under this post, with the photo, video, or a link so all the mikeshinoda.com community can check them out!
a huge "thank you" goes out to tim ferriss (for babysitting us, ha!), rick calvert, rohit bhargava, mohammed saleem, and all the interesting folks i met and chatted with today. thanks to the many people who came up and said so many nice things about my music and art, and thanks to everyone who shared with us their insight into the future of our online world.
the link to the keynote talk, in full, is hopefully coming soon. i'll put it up asap. here are some links to some coverage in other good blogs:
EDIT: fan correction: narcoleptic goats, not sheep. (wow, people around these parts are pretty quick to correct you when it comes to mistakes regarding animal species. next thing you know, they'll be telling me a dolphin isn't a fish...)
